This cottage is exemplary in every way. Beautiful. Comfortable. Ideally located. SPOTLESS. We’ll appointed. A pleasure and privilege to stay there. All of the neighbors who reside there are also wonderful. We couldn’t have been more pleased.

What can I say but wow!!!! My wife and I came in on a late flight and drove to the house tired from traveling. When we pulled into the driveway the house was all lit up in the dark and looked beautiful. We both forgot how tired we were and couldn’t wait to get inside. The sound of the ocean breaking on the beach only about 60 yards away accompanied by the breeze blowing through the palms was breathtaking. When we walked inside the smell of lavender was light in the air and the house was very welcoming. It was extremely clean and well laid out. There was a welcome gift sitting on the kitchen island with a note from the Poipu365 owner Vicki. We felt right at home almost immediately. The next morning we went to baby beach which is less than a 4 minute walk from the property. There are also a couple shopping villages about a 15 walk away with restaurants, shops and anything else you’d need. Poipu beach is about a 5 minute drive from the property as well. The location is very quiet and peaceful and the chairs and loungers on the front porch are perfect for outdoor dining or just hanging out. The property manager Vicki is an absolutely amazing person. Her eye for detail is phenomenal and she makes sure everything is to perfection so you have the very best stay possible. She has a very happy, caring and exciting personality and is an absolute pleasure to speak with. You can tell she is very professional and takes a great deal of pride in what she does. Everything about our stay was perfect and we will continue to stay with Poipu365 on all our future trips!!!!

It was all I hoped it would be. The home is so lovely and comfortable. The outdoor areas are as great as the indoors. There are two views of the beach and it is just 150 steps to Baby Beach. If you are a people watcher, this beach is a winner. Sunsets are stunning. We received a lot of excellent recommendations based on our interests...from the owners who live next door!
If you want a change from the condos of Hawaii, this is your place. It reminds me of Cannon Beach, Oregon. Lots of character and a neighborhood feeling.

The two of us spent 10 nights. This is an ideal location for time spent on south end of island. The facilities are top grade. Hot water is on demand heated so allow time for it to heat. Lighting is marginal in bed room and dining area. The porch is very nice even in the rain.

Hale Kolea Cottage in Poipu is absolutely the best!
location, location, location,a short walk to "Baby Beach" the Beach House Restaurant, Kukiula Center with shops market restaurants.
Sitting on the "Lanai" (porch) with a glass of wine watching the surf is much better than any Hotel, and our hosts thought of everything.
Just bring your shorts, flip flops and swim suits, and sunblock.
We are already planning our next stay

Beautiful cottage! Immaculate/spotless, well furnished, everything you need for a wonderful stay is provided. A cloth backpack with metal water bottles was a nice caveat to provide an environmentally healthy option to buying plastic bottles. The lanai provides a beautiful way to observe your surroundings while listening to the birds and surf nearby. Lots of places to walk to, including the harbor for a swim or the lagoon across the street,and lovely farmers markets to buy delicious fruits and veggies. Cannot wait to return! Lovely place✨

Our 23 day stay at Hale Kolea was AMAZING. The location of this pristine beach cottage does not compare to any ocean front hotel! From the cozy lanai with comfortable and designer furnishings to the brand new light and bright interior design, every detail and placement of furnishings made for a luxurious and relaxing stay. This home is extremely clean and is in the BEST location to experience all the south shore has to offer. EVERYTHING we needed to enjoy the beach, including beach chairs, boogie boards, towels, outdoor shower were available, but simply taking in the trade winds and sunsets over the bay from the lanai was great too! You can tell the owners of Hale Kolea take great joy in sharing this retreat. This specific location on Hoona Road will bring us back for many years to come!! Mahalo!

This is a spotless 2 BR house with top-notch furniture and cookware. It has several different spots for outside seating. Both the property manager and the owners are easily available and helpful. It is located on a beautiful, quiet street that is right on the water at Baby Beach, a popular spot where locals bring their kids. (At least they seem like locals because they mostly drive big pick-ups instead of typical rent-a-cars.) We've rented on this street several times and are going back to this house next year.

DEPOSITS: A security damage deposit is required to confirm all reservations. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent and is fully refundable within fourteen (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met:
-No damage or loss to the unit or its contents, or to the grounds or common areas of condo complexes.
-All debris and rubbish are placed in the appropriate receptacles for weekly, early morning trash pick-up. Trash pick-up day is noted in the unit.
-Upon departure, the key is returned to the lock-box, the extra key is left on the kitchen counter, and the door is locked.
-No excessive cleaning is required to the unit, the grounds, or common areas of condominium complexes.
-All unpaid rent or charges are paid in full prior to departure.
-Smoking and pets are not allowed. Violation will result in detoxification expenses.
-Interest on security deposit is retained by Poipu365.
RENT: Payment in full is due 60 days prior to arrival and 90 days prior to arrival during the holiday season from December 15th to January 3rd and for stays of 4 weeks or longer. If payment is not received by the due date, the reservation will be subject to cancellation. Rent must be paid in U.S. funds and are subject to state of Hawaii taxes, 4.712% General Excise Tax, 3% County tax, and 10.25% Transient Accommodation Tax, *$50 Booking Damage Waiver Protection, and a Poipu Beach Athletic Club Membership at $20/Night plus tax.
*Booking Damage Waiver Protection fee is a prepaid non-refundable fee
included in a rental total price that covers accidental damages up to $3500.00.
CHECK-IN TIME: 4:00 PM
CHECK-OUT TIME: 10:00 AM
LATE CHECK-OUTS: A late check-out is subject to availability at a half of the daily rate + tax, provided check-out is prior to 6:00PM; a full day rate + tax is charged for check-out after 6:00PM. All late check-outs must be arranged at least 72 hours in advance. Unscheduled late departures result in an additional charge equal to one-night rate plus tax.
POIPU BEACH ATHLETIC CLUB: Reservations include Poipu Beach Athletic Club membership at $20/night.
CANCELLATION POLICY: To obtain a full refund cancellation must be made more than 30 days prior to arrival. Cancellation with less than 30 days notice results in forfeiture of the service fee and 50% of the room/tax/fees.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: Poipu365 highly recommends that all travelers purchase travel insurance within 24 hours of your prepaid expenses to protect you against unexpected circumstances. Generali Global Travel Insurance may include coverage for losses due to sickness from COVID-19 for you or a family member. Be sure to read the travel insurance policy coverage for details.
OCCUPANCY: The maximum number of guests is limited to the number described in the reservation. Notification of additional guest occupancy must be approved by Poipu365, or risk eviction and/or termination of the rental. Poipu365’s homes are strictly family vacation homes. Weddings, receptions, baby luau’s, graduation parties, and other functions other than family vacations are restricted
HOUSEKEEPING: Professional housekeepers clean, sanitize and disinfect the property prior to arrival and after departure. Out-clean fees are collected and vary with the size of the unit. There is no daily housekeeping service
included although service is available at an additional charge. Mid-stay cleaning is necessary for all bookings more than 20 plus nights.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS: Poipu365 properties are fully furnished and equipped. Prior to guest arrival, every effort is made to ensure that all equipment is in proper working order. In the event of a breakdown, Poipu365 will immediately contact repair personnel as soon as possible after being notified of a problem. There is no guarantee that spas, air conditioners, televisions, appliances, high speed, wireless internet access, etc. will not break during your stay and therefore no refunds or adjustments will be made for mechanical failure. There will also be no refunds or adjustments made for any other unexpected situation beyond Poipu 365’s control such as insects, rodents, roosters, frogs, weather, etc.
LOST KEY OR LOCK OUT: There will be a $100 charge for lock out’s and/or lost keys and pool fobs.
SECURITY: Guests are responsible for the unit and its contents, as well as for their personal property. While Poipu is a safe vacation destination, please remember to lock all doors and windows when not in residence and Poipu365 urges that they remain locked whenever possible. Lock your automobiles and put away all rental equipment.

-Guest is not renting the Property for a public purpose that involves admission of the public.
-Guest acknowledges that lanais and lanai railings are potentially dangerous if improperly used, particularly with regard to children.
